Winter sport season of doom!

Over the winter sport season my team have won once and lost lots. My team mates are: Mimi,Corrine,Elise,Sophie ,Zoe and jasmine We have had mixed success Our team has faced many challenges, we showed team spirit, perseverance and determination.I enjoy playing with my coach Something I found challenging was Everyone basically knew how to play... we didn't that much. I’d like to thank my teammates for their support and my coach for their help.My highlight for this season has been  working with new people and and learning a new sport.This term I had to play netball I've never played it before.Next season I would like to do football. Sportsmanship qualities I showed this season first we lost and lost and lost but then second to last week we got it, we won that game as well as our very last. I got better at dodging and defending, attack was not my strong point. Corrine ,Elise and Mimi are on holiday so they were here for the first and second Corrine and Elise are twins. Mimi is not. What would you play if you had a choice?

Lily's really cool Lego blog👍👍

Hi, a couple of days ago I did some LEGO with Imagination Station. they came over to my school and I did some LEGO. Frist we needed to make a bridge across a table and it needed to hold around about seven books and a pencil case. (quite heavy) We got second place Ariella's came first  I was with Amelia and Arielle it was really fun. Next we tried to build the tallest tower we joined up to three other teams it was really tall I liked knocking it down # we won! And then we needed to make a car we had to make to the first one with Lego well you know but there's technique Lego as well the first car was not successful which broke into pieces when we rolled it down the ramp so we went with the Technic Lego we got all the way to the end

I went with Amelia it was hard to choose between Amelia and Arielle but in the end  Arielle wanted to go with someone  else. Me and Amelia/ Arielle and Millie( Millie is Arielle's partner in the end)          we were both went all the way to the end! I 💜ed it!!! what would you do if you had a choese?

I 💕 Flamingos

        

I chose to write about flamingos because I like them and I know most about them and I love them: Did you know that they live up to 20 to 30 years!?!

A flamingos nest is made out of mud rocks & feathers.

A flamingos diet make it pink.     

A flamingo can fly up to 35 mph.

A flamingos habitat is a warm wetlands.

Flamingos wade in water that stay in a group called a colony

flamingos fly with their necks straight & feat straight like this:

   

Flamingos lay 1 egg at a time.

A baby flamingo is Gray or white.

After 2 or 3 years a flamingo tones pink.

A flamingo can stand on one leg for 4 hours we can only stand on one leg for 10 sekins.

Flamingos are found in America and south America.

I love flamingos they are my animal!  What is your favourite animal?

Awesome p.b.l term 3

For p.b.l this term we have been learning about Innovation and how it can improve our lives where did lots of activities based on the innovation we were anybody's I don't with Amelia for the car we weren't allowed to touch cars on their hands so we had to make something to move it across the table without touching it. We both got three straws and summer take them together then we breathe through the school as and made the car move Sellotape two piece of paper to the car so that it had more airflow so it could go faster.



We also made boats we tried to see how many Marbles we could fit in before it sank the record with 64.we thought we could  never get over that but then we got 91, we won! We had the choice to make it out of some things tape, straws, foil,6 plastic cups and paper we all had some ideas that they weren't letting me tell them my idea in my boat group my team was Titanic 2.0 i was with milly zach Cairo and me
my idea was put for plastic cups upside down and Sellotape straws to the bottom and then we turned it over and put foil on the inside and we put the two other cups in the middle of the four cups so they wouldn't roll out the side then we we tried the float test it worked!

Stop cutting down trees

In reading this term our focus has been looking at articles around climate change.

I have learned  that: We are polluting the world more than we think and people are not stopping or making a change. Luckily there are some people who are trying to do good. I also learned that deforestation is when people cut down trees, they are cutting down their habitats and don't even care, this makes me feel sad and angry,

Why are we using so much plastic and how do you think we can stop it?

this term we have been looking at climate change Glenn from VBase came to talk to us. he is the food & drink manager. After a cricket match there was lots of plastic left behind. Glenn wonted to stop that They tried different ideas. They now have reusable cups. People rent cups for $1, they get their money back when they give  the cups back. There is a few problems with the cups because  people steal them from other people to get money. in the last 2 years they have saved nearly two million cups.

i think its good that he saw the plastic!!

cross country

                   

                    I hate cross country. I often get stitches. This year the 

                     weather was better. I watched my brother run, it was fun. I was happy to see my mum and dad. They missed my brothers race because he was early.  In my race i started off running, someone stood on my foot. I ran the first lap, it was hard. I heard my mum cheer as finished the first lap. On the second lap i had to stop running and walk because i got a stitch. I started to run again when i saw the finish. My mum and dad cheered as i finished. I was really pleased when it was over. I am happy i don't have to do it for another year.
